General physiotherapy

Your Physiotherapy in Zürich Binz

At PhysioMedsport, physiotherapy is at the core of everything we do and forms the foundation of every treatment. Our goal is not only to relieve pain and discomfort, but above all to maintain your health in the long term, improve movement quality, and enhance everyday performance.

At our clinic in the Binz district of Zurich, we work with a wide range of diagnoses and focus on individually tailored therapy concepts. These combine various treatment techniques and tools, based on many years of experience, comprehensive training, and modern, evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Our dedicated physiotherapy room within the Laboratorium training center also offers the opportunity to train using your own body weight. This unique combination of fitness and physiotherapy enhances body awareness, strengthens movement control, and supports the development of functional abilities. The result is improved everyday mobility, greater resilience, and long-term quality of life.

Each therapy session lasts approximately 25 to 30 minutes. During this time, you receive a comprehensive, personalized treatment – including a variety of techniques and supportive tools – designed to ensure lasting results, healthy movement, and a greater sense of well-being at the best physiotherapy practice in Zurich.

Therapy

Manual therapy

Manual therapy is a specialized form of physiotherapy that uses targeted manual techniques and mobilization methods to treat functional disorders of joints, muscles, and nerves. The goal is to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore the natural function of the musculoskeletal system.

Trigger points & tape

Trigger point therapy treats painful, hardened points in the muscles with targeted pressure. This releases tension, improves blood circulation, and reduces pain. The method helps to sustainably improve the mobility and function of the affected areas—ideal for acute or chronic muscle problems.

Tape (e.g., Kinesio tape) is used to stabilize joints, relieve muscles, and promote healing. It provides support for pain, overuse, or injuries without restricting movement. This keeps the body active and protected at the same time.

McKenzie-Therapy (MDT)

The McKenzie Method is an evidence-based physiotherapy approach for diagnosing and treating spinal and extremity disorders. Through repeated movement and posture analyses, the causes of pain are identified, and targeted self-exercises are developed. The goal is to actively involve patients in the healing process, reduce pain, and sustainably improve mobility.

Electrotherapy & Ultrasound

Electrotherapy and ultrasound are part of physical therapy and support treatment with technical devices. These methods are not standard practice in physiotherapy, but they can be very effective. They are used specifically to relieve pain, promote wound healing, or relax tense muscles. Electrotherapy works with gentle electrical impulses, while ultrasound penetrates deep into the tissue, stimulating blood circulation and metabolism. Both methods complement the therapy on an individual basis and contribute to achieving the best possible results.
